Biography:
Jason Barry was a former board member and management team leader of the BECC in the mid 2000’s having already served as Baltic Director of Marketing for Deloitte, as well as running the BBC Fixing office in Tallinn for five years. In 2007 he departed to work as Group Director for Starwood International Hotels (now Marriott) in the Indian ocean where he was part of the Task Force that opened three hotels for Blue Ocean group of Dubai on the island of Mauritius, including the Luxury Collection, The Four Points by Sheraton and the St Regis le Morne. After a short stint at Starwood Head Office in Brussels Jason moved to Africa to head up the Marketing team for the luxury safari hospitality company Elewana. After six years, a total rebrand of the company led to a corporate buyout by Minor Hotels International (Bangkok) and saw the portfolio grow from 10 properties to 16.

Jason then set up his own safari business – WildAfrica – which until the pandemic struck was servicing customers from the Baltics, Russia, UK and Belgium.
More about HDR Africa.
Jason Barry, with two other wildlife photographers, have created an online portal – HDR Africa – which sells large and small scale prints of their photographic work to both private and corporate customers.
These photographs, taken by Jason or his colleague Shaun Malan, feature wildlife and people from Uganda, Botswana, Kenya and Tanzania and represent over 6 years of wildlife watching. Shaun is currently in Botswana and runs photographic safaris in the country, whilst Jason, a former Group Director with Elewana Luxury Lodges (part of Minor Hotels International) does similarly in Tanzania and Kenya. HDR Africa and Wild Africa are both trademarks of BlueFlower.
For every image sold a percentage is donated to the anti-poaching units in Tanzania, helping to protect the elephant and rhino populations.

From time-to-time HDR Africa provides exhibitions of their work and more information will be available on the next exhibition very soon.
